Will and Deni McIntyre are photographers and filmmakers based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Mountains of Henderson County, NC. They have worked in more than seventy countries on six continents, shooting for magazines, corporations, and picture agencies.

They have shot major assignments for Credit Suisse, Bass Ale, Varig Brazilian Airlines, Aramco, the German Wine Information Bureau, the Mexican Ministry of Tourism, Glaxo SmithKline, RJR Nabisco, Time, Fortune, People, and Ebony magazines, Vanderbilt University, Duke University Medical Center, and Elon University. They also shoot portraits of writers and recording artists for CD covers and book covers.

Their book All Over the Map: Travel Photographs and the Stories Behind Them was voted “Photography Book of the Year” by the Independent Publisher Association. It was published by Loose Ends Press and is available from amazon.com. In 2005 they produced Elon Under the Oaks, a pictorial study of Elon University. Previous books include Vanderbilt: A University Portrait; an illustrated journal for fox hunters called Chronicle of the Chase; and No Place Like Lowe’s, a history of the NC-based home improvement retailer.

Will and Deni also create high-definition video documentaries and movie footage for stock libraries. Will produced and Deni wrote and directed a Telly Award-winning short documentary for the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) titled “We All Need Good Teachers.” In 2008 they created another short for NCCAT, “Teaching the Holocaust,” which won three Telly Awards. Their 16-minute video for the Triangle Community Foundation helped that organization celebrate its 25th anniversary. Their documentary "Saving the Hansen House" aired on NC Public Television in October 2011 and recently received an Award of Merit from the Accolade Competition. They also shoot music videos.

Will is a 1976 graduate of Western Carolina University and has received its Alumni Professional Achievement Award. He has served on the board of trustees of the American Society of Media Photographers and was a founder of its North Carolina chapter. He plays the upright bass (often with Grammy-award winner David Holt), rides to hounds, and loves to cook.

Deni graduated summa cum laude from Wake Forest University in 1980 and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In addition to her photography, she has written books and articles for national magazines, corporate publications, and websites. Annual reports that she wrote for Lowe’s Companies received gold, silver, and bronze awards from Financial World magazine. She is an amateur stone mason and she plays the flute.
